Alexa’s Family Portraits
This past weekend I drove down to the San Antonio, TX Botanical Gardens to do a family photo shoot with Alexa. She was referred to me by a mutual friend (THANKS MARY AND JESS) and asked me to hang out with her and her family and just take shots as they explored the beautiful gardens. The shoot was a lot of fun and can I just say that considering it was over 100 degrees that day, her kiddos were fantastic! I'm sure the marshmallow bribes helped a little too ("smile for the camera and get a marshmallow" - Brilliant idea, by ...
Emilie Eggleston Portrait Session
One of my first individual photo shoots was with a friend here in town named Emilie Eggleston. Well, to clarify, we were actually virtual friends on Facebook. (Yes, anyone who knows me knows I’m addicted to Facebook.) Anyway, Emilie was looking for a photographer to do some portraits and headshots of her and was referred to me by another friend. We messaged back and forth a few times and finally scheduled a date to do her shoot. She really wanted her shots to reflect Austin so we decided to start at the State Capitol building and work our way into downtown ...
Mary and Jess Family Portraits
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to hang out with some dear friends here in Austin, Jess and Mary. I've known them for the past year or so and was really honored they asked me to photograph their beautiful family. They have two really adorable little girls and a niece who were so much fun to follow around and photograph. They played around the fountain at UT here in Austin and the little ones even had a contest over who could smile the biggest and most often. Dad was a little embarrassed to admit that he bribed them with ...

Amy’s Maternity Shoot
Yesterday I spent the morning with a lovely family here in Austin who are expecting their 2nd child in 3 weeks. Amy and I met at a kiddie play date where I was asked to take pictures. A few months later, she asked if I would be interested in doing her maternity photo shoot with her family. Of course I said yes immediately! This was such a fun portrait session. It was my first maternity shoot so I really appreciated Amy's patience as I played with angles and lighting to find my mojo. And boy oh boy, her daughter Morgan was ...
